Well, I Do Not Love to Ramble Around

Listening to "Wild Goose Chase" by Dark Dark Dark right now. One of those songs that makes your heart go, "Mmmmmmph." It feels familiar and huge at the same time. That's why I've made the title of this blog post a line from the song -- and also because I used to do that on my LiveJournal and it's kind of nice.

I want to live on the west coast, some day.

I'm still annoyed by peoples' responses to Miley Cyrus, especially since NOW she's released the music video for "Wrecking Ball," and everyone's flipping out about that, too. I'm going to make a giant GIF of all the music videos in our nation's great history that have featured naked pop stars. And it will speak for itself.

Another thing that sucks about pop culture is this stupid Chipotle commercial that everyone's bawling over. I mean, I'm all for being anti-factory farming. Duh. But this commercial is vague and misleading and doesn't encourage real critical thought and just depends on pulling on peoples' heartstrings and I hate it. I wrote a letter to Chipotle asking them to send me a list of all their farms and to tell me what, exactly, is meant by "naturally raised standards." I'm really looking forward to the response. If they're truly transparent and can answer my questions in a non-bullshit-y way, I'll never eat anywhere but Chipotle for the rest of my life. That's a lie. I've actually never eaten there before.

Some things I love: fantasy football, Lorde.

Here's what I've been up to, in picture form (hiking, hanging out in coffee shops, smiling, getting new boots at Target, making quinoa salad with Avery, etc.):

Oh man, oh  man, and now a Big Star cover (13, specifically) is playing. 12:45 a.m. on a Saturday is sometimes best spent listening to things on shuffle, drinking warm cider w/ whiskey & writing a disjointed blog post.
